The pain will always linger...

our hearts emptier for her absence and unfulfilled dreams

But the love she brought into our lives will live forever.

We are thankful for her gift to us.

Thankful for the blessing she will always be.

Thankful for the love we would never have known,

but for her and her brief days with us.

mamaw,

something urged me to get on here & read your guestbook. as im sittin here & readin what ariana wrote, my eyes are starting to swell up with tears. everything she said is so true. none of us were ready for you to go. i wish each & every day that you were still here. i never got to see you as much as i wanted to. i hardly even talked to you as much i wish i could have. it’s so hard to believe that one minute, everything was fine & in the next minute, it seemed like all of our lives fell apart. i never thought things would go the way they did. when the cancer came back, i never expected everything to go downhill so fast. when i pictured my life.. i pictured you here for my 16th birthday, for my high school graduation, for my wedding, & for you to see your grandkids one day. when the doctors told us that you had three months to live, i never expected to only have two more weeks with you. i just feel like everything happened so fast. i never even got to say goodbye.. except for at your funeral, but that wasn’t’ you’re your soul is up in heaven & that was just the body you were in on earth. i know i talk to you all the time, but it’s still really hard. i know i haven’t been to the cemetery since like Christmas day, but that’s just too hard for me. i know you would understand that. i don’t really see a reason to go because you aren’t there. i can lay in my bed & talk to you just as easily. anyways.. i know you’re up there partying with God & watchin down over us. that’s gotta be amazing. i miss you like crazy. i love you so much.

love always, steph

ps. i know you’ve seen what’s been goin on with my mama & i know you’ve been lookin out for all of us. losing you was probably one of the hardest things i ever experienced in my life, & i don’t what i’d do without my mama. mamaw, please just stick by her side, & let her be strong enough to fight whatever comes along. thanks a million.

I am so grateful that I had the chance to see Linda again at our Reunion. She was so full of joy and hope and her smile was the same one that I always remember when I think of her. She will be greatly missed by all of us from Crafton High who loved her.

No person is ever truly alone.

Those who live no more,

Whom we loved,

Echo still within our thoughts,

Our words, our hearts.

And what they did

And who they were

Becomes a part of all that we are,

Forever.

How blessed I was to have reconnected with this wonderful lady after so many years.

Dave, I'm glad I got to know you, and I'll pray that God carries your heart with tenderness.

I'm gonna miss ya, Linda,

my friend...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Life is a wonderful thing, and perhaps more wondrous when it is shared with others.
We shared a high school friendship
-- conversations, laughs,
fun times and over the years we kept in touch,
as we chatted about almost anything under the sun...
A shadow passed,
but let it not darken the heart,
Her life that was, forever shall be,
With a smile, a laugh,
her life brought a light,
that will never fade from my memory.
Linda, you will be missed ...
but, never be forgotten --
To all of the Kraft and Kurtz families,
'May the Lord comfort and strengthen you in your sorrow.'
I Peter 5:7"
Linda and I began our friendship when she came to Crafton High School from Ingram. We lived near each other and would walk everwhere together...to the canteen, the pool, etc. I am so thankful that John McLean started the all class reunions which allowed us to rekindle our friendship. Linda and Dave created a beautiful family that will keep Linda alive in their hearts with all their wonderful memories. I shall miss you my dear friend, but you will remain alive in my heart also, and I thank you for the lovely memories.
