March 23, 1983 - July 31, 2025
Lindsay Rachel Behnen, age 42, of Denison, Texas, passed away from an unexpected stroke on July 31, 2025. Lindsay was the daughter of Marty Deetz Gonnerman and David Behnen (deceased). She grew up in St Louis and attended Mary Institute and Country Day School. Later she attended Foxcroft School in Middleburg, Virginia, and graduated from Kettering University in Flint, Michigan with a degree in Industrial Engineering. Lindsay was employed as a Quality Engineer at Caterpillar in Denison, Texas.
She loved cars, horses, dogs, and entrepreneurship. She could back up a 30 foot horse trailer on a dime and balance a spoon anywhere on her face. Lindsay had great adventures traveling with her adoring mother. She was bright, inquisitive, and loyal to her friends, fiancé, and family.
She is survived by her mother Marty Deetz Gonnerman (Mark), fiancé Matt Olinik, many friends and her beloved dogs Ziggy, Cooper, and Rosie.
Lindsay was an organ donor, and her legacy continues in life-changing ways.
A gathering of remembrance will be held at a later date.

Lindsay's dad, David, was a first cousin to me and I met her when she visited St Louis when she was a little girl. Even then, she could easily hold conversations with adults and loved dogs and horses. I think that we have lost a young woman who was gifted and talented. My condolences to her mother and friends.May she rest in peace.
