Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 31 years, Susan (Weinhart) Collett; parents, Robbie (Marshall) Slavey and Linza (Gay) Collett; mother and father-in-law, June and Dale Weinhart.

Lindsey graduated from Reading High School Class of 1976 and served as a cadet, beginning his dedicated career of 31 years with Reading Fire Department where he retired as a Lieutenant Firefighter Paramedic. He studied Fire Science at the University of Cincinnati. Following retirement, he continued his interests in medical science serving in positions with UC Physicians and Children's Hospital.
Through the years, Lindsey enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, and cooking. His potato salad became a frequent request for gatherings. We have been blessed by Lindsey’s caring heart for others, his life of service, and will deeply miss his hysterical and loving presence.

When our beloved Uncle Ralph suffered through what seemed like an eternity of pain before joining his Heavenly Father, you put all of the goodness and energy within you to be there for the Gilbert and Ellis families. We will always remember the...

I have known Lindsey my entire career. First at Reading Fire and then at Cincinnati Fire. He was the most dedicated person I have known. I learned a lot throughout the years from Lindsey and his passing is a great loss to the EMS service. Prayers to the family and God Speed to Lindsey.
