Lisa Barnato Jaureguito

I'm in total shock. Lisa and her kiddos traveled with me and my son, Ross to Disneyland via the Big Red Boat, visit to Dallas and Austin. I met Lisa while visiting my dad, Joe Orthbandt one summer and we remained friends forever. Lisa was one of those people that you admired for so many reasons and wanted to emulate and draw and learn from the strength she possessed at all times (even the darkest times in her life.) I miss you my friend.

Lisa was a fantastic teacher, mentor and friend to my children. Always offering a friendly smile. Always pushing her students to excel. I will miss her warm cackle/laugh!

I was overly saddened to learn of the sudden and untimely passing of such a Wonderful, Giving and Compassionate person while I was reading some posts today on Facebook. Lisa was my best friend when I moved to Reno. she was always laughing and trying to pull a fast one on a friend. She was a good teacher and worked hard. We hadn't seen each other much in our time past high school too much. I wish I had gotten to say good bye and didn't know she was ill. It all happened so fast. I pray for all her family's peace and know she had a great family she loved very much!

I am in total shock. I moved here in 1981, and we met through a mutual friend. I remember being at her home to watch the balloon races. Yes she was a loving and giving women. Just recently I discovered she lived around the corner from one of my best friends. She is the one who let me know. I am so happy we were able to catch up.

I was very sad to read of Lisa's passing. We loved our students from this family (Lisa, Peter, Mike, Dana and Kristi) at Peavine Elementary School. I know all of you will carry on as good citizens and helpful adults. God Bless all of Lisa's family.

I loved coming to Huffaker and seeing her. She was always smiling. She will be truly missed. Huffaker has lost a wonderful educator and friend.
