Lloyd Gann Obituary
He was born in Newport, Tenn., son of the late Scott Perry Gann and Mary Whitt Gowans.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years Imogene Hicks Gann "Jean." He was a member of the First Baptist Church, a member of the Mount Holly Optimist Club and the Mount Holly Lions Club. He coached Little League Baseball for 25 years. He was the 2001 Mount Holly Man of the Year.
He is survived by two daughters, Pam Miller and husband Ralph of Mount Holly and Sandy Frost and husband Jim of Greensboro; one son, Kelly Gann of Alexis; one sister, Mary Gann Jones of Gastonia; seven grandchildren, Josh Allen and wife Leah of Mount Holly, Celeste Blanton and husband Shawn of Stanley, Courtney and Leah Frost both of Greensboro, Chelsey, Haley and Tyler Gann all of Alexis; two great-grandchildren Jax and Harper Allen.
The family would like to offer special thanks to the staff of Stanley Total Living Center for their kind-ness and care.
A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Gann will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, July 19, 2015, at First Baptist Church in Mount Holly with the Rev. Dr. Kendell Cameron officiating. Entombment will follow at Hill-crest Gardens Good Shepherd Mausoleum. A remembrance reception will be held from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. prior the service at the church fellowship hall.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Lincoln County, 107 N Cedar Street, Lincolnton, NC 28092 or to the Stanley Total Living Center, 514 Old Mount Holly Road, Stanley NC 28164.

Lloyd Gann was always kind to me as I'm sure he was to everyone he met. He did a lot for the youth of Mt.Holly and I know there are many men in our area that are better persons because of his dedication to them. See you on the other side Lloyd. Reggie Ballard
