Read MoreLonnie was a huge presence in the Ingleside neighborhood and while I never met him personally I always appreciate the role the leaders of the community (Lonnie, Willie and Lovie Ward, Peter Vaernet, Mary (Kwanza's mom), Kwanza Morton, etc., played in the change in the neighborhood over the years. I'm sure I missed plenty of people in the brief list.
