Even though he was a distant cousin, we always called him "Mr Larry" or "Uncle Larry". He elicited such respect and admiration from us ragazzi out at the LWC lake. A gentle, kind, and understanding soul. Aunt Stella there by his side nurturing their family. It is a picture I will carry in my mind until I too bid adieu.

I have so many good things to say about my father...the kind way he was, things he taught me, how he made me feel, our memories...I'll be sharing on that tomorrow to his honor. My dad often said this in earlier years: "So no matter where you go, there you are."

I'll always remember the times we played at your house as children, when your dad would break into song. I especially remember his great rendition of Gene Autry's "Back In The Saddle". I'm sorry for your loss, and thankful for knowing him.

Uncle Larry always had a smile on his face. He never had a bad word to say about anyone or anything. He as truly a special person to all who were lucky enough to have him in their family or circle of friends. He adored his wife and loved all his children and grandchildren. Will miss him always. The world had lost one special person. You are the last of the Zapala group. They are all celebrating with you now.
