Dylan Thomas' poem, “Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night” which we read together, urges us to live a strong life and not accept death calmly. While perhaps not apparent, I know those traits were the essence of your life for many years past. Death and disease sought to darken your life early, but you refused to submit, living your life as brightly as you could.
You saw death coming, you spoke of it often, and you were never afraid of it, but bravely defiant in its face. You would...

It's been over 2 weeks now, and though my heart still hurts, and I miss your quips, quotes, jokes, notes, & prayers on Facebook, I take great comfort that you are breathing free and easy and flying with the angels. I hope my Ryan has found you by now and given you those hugs I asked him to give you. Lori, I know you never had kids of your own, but please know you are Ryan's honorary "Angel Mom", and hey, you can teach him how to play pool!! Next Sunday, Aug. 28th is his 21st birthday, so...

Lori, I truly hope you know how many people's lives you touched and made happier and richer for knowing you. We all miss you very much. Soar with the angels sweet lady. Enjoy those nice deep breaths of fresh air that you weren't allowed before. Will remember you always! Hugs and prayers to all who knew you, as I know there is much sadness to sift through.

I am at a loss for words, My heart goes out to family and friends. I went to school with Lori in 1974 and have thought about her often over the years. She had such a positive impact on my life When we were young. Last week I felt compelled to find her On Face book and reconnect but sadly It was too late for me to tell her she was, and always will be a part of my fondest memories.
