Not sure what to say?

Yes, I remember the day It was on the mourn That I saw a ship a sailing The sea was calm The winds were fair Home port was nigh Loring still young And he was at the rail With shipmates once again.---rs

Loring was a gift to the world, and our friendship was a profound gift to me. I can never be grateful enough; I hope I was able to give back to him some fraction of what he gave me. Many memorable visits with Loring and Jeanette after my daughter Heather joined their family. Our love and condolences to all the family.

It has been many years since the Cannons were such good neighbors of the Bartletts in Madras, OR. We shared visits between our homes, separated by a field, and the kids were good friends. We moved from there first, and still remember the kindness of Jeanette and Loring in providing breakfast for our family on the morning we started our journey East.

Loring was a colleague at Linn County Health Dept. Hearing that my wife was pregnant, he once told me that having a child would change my life. I smiled politely but shrugged internally and shortly thereafter learned the truth and wisdom of his words. Thanks, Loring.

As a former neighbor I'm thankful for the times and fond memories we shared with Loring. We miss him too. Condolences to Alice, Calvin and Jeanette.

Thank you, Loring, for being our friend and river guide.
