PEORIA - Louise Fragel, 91, of Peoria passed away Wednesday, June 30, 2010, at Heartland Manor Care.
Born Sept. 13, 1918, in Peoria to Harry L. and Pearle C. (Bailey) Whittier, she married Henry C. Fragel. He preceded her in death on March 19, 1991.
Surviving are her daughters, Barbara (Terry) Stauske of Indianapolis, Ind., and Shirlee Fragel of Peoria; a sister, Joanne Kroll of Danville, Ill.; grandchildren, Mark (Glenda) Stauske of Indianapolis, Ind., and Paula (Brian) Hollis of Champaign, Ill.; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Louise graduated from Manual High School and was the owner of Logans Sweet Shop. She also worked for the Peoria Park District, taught organ and piano and was the organist at Bethel Presbyterian Church for years.
Louise was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, July 3, 2010, at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. Visitation will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. before services. The Rev. Kerry Franz will officiate, with interment in Parkview Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Grace Presbyterian Church Television Ministry.

Sorry for your lost, I was one of your mom's piano students and I also watched your grandma for her. She was a great lady, fun and kind. I learned much about piano from her and enjoyed her teaching.

Shirley, I remember your Mom and Dad from their shop near Garfield. My Father and his sisters and brother's went to Manuel, probably were in some of your Mom's classes....who knew. My Father died after we moved to Arizona, he was only 44. I am thinking of you and your family. With Sympathy,
