Louise Maxwell Obituary

Louise S. Maxwell

Hermitage, TN

Mrs. Louise S. Maxwell passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Skyline Hospice in Madison at the age of 77.

She was born on December 26, 1938 in Davidson County, the daughter of the late Louis William and Myrtle Smith Schroeder. She labored as a beautician for 44 years in Old Hickory and owned the Old Hickory Wigs, Beauty & Tanning shop. She wed Mr. Bobby D. Maxwell and they were married for 30 years until her passing. Wherever Lou was, so was Bobby, and they were affectionately known as "Lou and Bobby". She enjoyed fishing, spending time on her and Bobby's boat, watching the Denver Broncos and Tennessee Vols as well as attending the UT games. She was the jack-of-all-trades and was a mother figure for several people she met. She is loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Herman Hugo and Charles Louis Schroeder, one daughter, Debbie, one son and one grandson, Brandon.

She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Bobby D. Maxwell; one brother, William "Bubba" Schroeder, 1 nephew, 5 nieces, 3 stepdaughters, 2 stepsons and several other special friends.

The family will receive friends on both Thursday, May 26, 2016 and Friday, May 27, 2016 from 4:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home, and on Saturday, May 28, 2016 an hour before the service from 1:00 until 2:00 pm at the funeral home.

The Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with Reverend Jack Lewis officiating.

Interment will follow in Hermitage Memorial Gardens.

Dearest Lou, it was a blessing to know you. My fondest memories of our time together were shared at the Wig and Tanning shop that you owned. I would stop by in the afternoons to tan for 20 minutes. That 20 minutes often turned into an hour or longer. I really enjoyed getting to know you and hearing you talk about your past and present ventures as much as you loved hearing about mine. I'm glad that we were able to talk earlier this month, it was great to hear from you. You were a blessing to all who knew you. Rest in peace my friend.

So sorry to learn of the passing of Louise. I have been a friend of "Bubba" ever since school days at North High as well as several of the Shroeder family. My heart goes out to Bobby and the rest of this wonderful family.I'm sorry that I will be unable to attend the service.
