Loyce Walker Obituary

Loyce Walker of Kingwood, Texas, passed away in her home peacefully in her sleep on the morning of Saturday, May 31st.
Loyce was born a twin on December 21st, 1949, in Galveston, TX to Aney Mary and Michael Gossie, Sr. Loyce graduated from La Marque High School in 1969. She then went on to graduate from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science in Education in August 1972. Loyce worked for ExxonMobil for 37 years and retired in 2009. Loyce excelled in the corporate world of ExxonMobil. In January 1973 Loyce married Gary Walker whom she met at the University of Houston. They were married for 52 years and 151 days. They bought their first and only home in Kingwood in March 1976. Their daughter, Audrey was born in May 1976. In 1978 Loyce and Gary joined Kingwood Country Club and where they enjoyed playing tennis, golf, all the KKC activities and where they met and made many lifelong friends. Loyce also enjoyed oil painting, traveling with Gary, attending University of Houston athletic events, watching all sports, and most of all watching he daughter Audrey play competitive USTA Junior Tennis, In her retirement she enjoyed spending time with her two granddaughters, playing tennis, watching the Hallmark Channel, and taking care of all the neighborhood stray cats and their kittens. She was a Christian, a loving caring wife , mother, and friend, who was very successful in her life.
Loyce leaves behind her loving husband, Gary Walker, who took care of her for many years, daughter Audrey Fox and her husband Todd Fox, granddaughters Kasey and Kenzie Fox, twin sister, Joyce Martin, brother, Michael Gossie Jr, and a host of other family and friends. Loyce was a wonderful wife, mother, friend and will be missed by all who knew her.
