Mrs. Melcher was always such a special lady to me. She was smart as a whip, strong - and at the same time, gracious, generous and thoughtful. What a wonderful sense of humor she had.
I was honored to attend the rodeo with her on March 17th of this year. It was the first time I had been in about 15 years. It was special that night, and it is a treasure now.
