Lucy Meisel

This breaks my heart to read. Mrs. Meisel taught me so much and nurtured my love for cooking. She taught me to sew (which let´s be honest I was not the best student) and I will always remember the class stuffing fights and dumdums on especially hard days. I kept stopping by to visit her when I could even from the high school. She will and always has held a giant piece of my heart.

Lucy was one of my teachers in middle school. At a time when I felt like I was absolutely lost in the world, she was always there. She fed me when I was hungry, she hugged me when I needed a hug, she was an absolute joy and light to her students. She had a large hand in shaping who I am as a person. My deepest and most heartfelt condolences to her family and those who were blessed by her presence. Thank you Mrs. Meisel for being such a beacon of hope for your students over the years.

Lucy, the picture on your obituary, says it all. You were absolutely the funniest most welcoming person in our building. I loved your smile and your good sense of humor. The world lost someone special. Patti Wagner.
