Lucy E. Stanovick

Lucy was my tennis coach and senior year English teacher. We bonded on a level where she taught me to respect myself!! She changed my life and encouraged me to become who I am today!!! I can even remember her cutting my hair at a tennis match the night before my prom!!! She was an awesome woman!

I feel so fortunate to have had Lucy as an English professor and adviser during my graduate studies. I will begin my first year as an English teacher at Upper Darby HS in a few weeks, not far from Lucy's hometown. If I can be half as great of a teacher as Lucy, my students will be more than lucky.
