ESPAÑOL- Luis A. Hernandez Vasquez, de 45 años, de Marshalltown, Iowa falleció en su hogar rodeado de su amada familia el viernes 22 de agosto de 2025.
Se invita a familiares y amigos a asistir a una visitacion el martes 26 de agosto de 2025 de 5:00 a 7:00 P.M. en la Casa Funeraria Mitchell en Marshalltown, Iowa. Esto será seguido por un servicio de vigilia que comenzará a las 7:00 P.M., también en la casa funeraria. Una misa de cuerpo presente se llevará a cabo el miércoles 27 de agosto de 2025 a las 11:00 A.M. en la Iglesia Católica San Francisco de Asís: St. Henry’s. Luis Alberto Hernández Vásquez nació el 13 de agosto de 1980 en Capilla de Guadalupe, Jalisco, México. Era hijo de Delfino Hernández Reyes y María Ofelia Vásquez Torres. El 11 de noviembre de 2008 se casó con el amor de su vida, Luz María del Carmen Raya Alvarado. De esta unión nacieron cuatro increíbles hijos. Durante la mayor parte de su carrera laboral, Luis trabajó en JBS Foods como conductor de montacargas en el centro de distribución. En su tiempo libre, a Luis le gustaba la jardinería, pescar, bailar, escuchar música, pero lo más importante, le gustaba pasar tiempo con su familia.
Le sobreviven su madre María Ofelia Vásquez Torres; su esposa Luz María del Carmen Raya Alvarado; sus cuatro hijos: Alberto, Jacquelyn, Josué y Giovanni Hernández Raya; sus seis hermanos: Alejandro, María Lorena, Ana Lilia, Jorge Adrián, Jesús y Erika Hernández Vásquez; y varios primos, sobrinas y sobrinos.
Luis es precedido en la muerte por su padre Delfino Hernández Reyes y su sobrina e ahijada, Jasmine Reyes.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, from 5:00- 7:00 P.M. at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. This will be followed by a vigil service starting at 7:00 P.M., also at the funeral home. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Francis of Assisi: St Henry’s Catholic Church. Memorials may be directed to the family for a later designation. Luis Alberto Hernandez Vasquez was born August 13, 1980, in Capilla de Guadalupe, Jalisco, Mexico. He was the son of Delfino Hernandez Reyes and Maria Ofelia Vasquez Torres. On November 11, 2008, he married the love of his life Luz Maria del Carmen Raya Alvarado. From this union, four amazing children were born. For the majority of his working career, Luis worked at JBS Foods as a forklift driver in their distribution center. In his free time, Luis enjoyed gardening, fishing, dancing, listening to music, but most importantly he enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his mother Maria Ofelia Vasquez Torres; his wife Luz Maria del Carmen Raya Alvarado; his four children: Alberto, Jacquelyn, Josue and Giovanni Hernandez Raya; his six siblings: Alejandro, Maria Lorena, Ana Lilia, Jorge Adrian, Jesus, and Erika Hernandez Vasquez; and various cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Luis is preceded in death by his father Delfino Hernandez Reyes and his niece and God daughter, Jasmine Reyes.
