Luis Valles of Houston, Texas passed away on March 14, 2025, at the age of 94. He was born in Las Cruces, New Mexico on May 7, 1930, to Santos Valles and Cruz Morales. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ana Maria Valles Flores; daughter, Maricruz Valles-Schoenfeldt; and a grandchild, Adrian Valles.

Luis is survived by five daughters and three sons, Juana L. Coonradt and husband Troy, Arturo Valles, Martha J. Arango and husband Jorge, Maggie Valles, Daniel Valles, B. Patricia Gomez and husband Joe, Anna M. Martinez and husband Wenceslao and Luis E. Valles.

13 grandchildren: Luis Fernando Arango, Jorge Luis Arango, Ana Cecilia Arango, Jaime and Kim Beard, Brenda Martinez Valles, Celene Valles, Frankie Valles, Gabriel Valles, Daniel Valles, Michael Anthony Villarreal, Andrew Villarreal, Anna Isabel Martinez and Lola Martinez.

12 great grandchildren: Mya, Carissa, Ethan Daniel, Anna Claire Beard, Myles H. Beard, Mya Huerta, Adri lynn Valles, Izabella and Skyyler Arredondo, Bentley Valles and Jonathan Valles and Cian Alejandro Arango Gonzalez.

A younger brother, Alejandro Valles of Mississippi, and a sister, Luisa Perez of Kentucky.

He loved the gatherings of his family for the holidays and enjoyed traveling overseas to visit his daughters in Panama, Peru, Spain, Cancun, Acapulco and Trinidad. He loved nature and showing his grandchildren and great-grandchildren his love for gardening.

Luis was a believer in the Lord and daily thanked the Lord for all the blessings his family has received on this earth. His only wish and desire was that all his family stay united and not forget family unity.

May you rest in Peace our dear beloved Father.

A visitation for Luis will be held Friday, March 21, 2025, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Chapel, 1515 South College Avenue, Bryan, Texas 77801. A burial will follow at Rest-Ever Memorial Park Cemetery, 5103 N Texas Ave, Bryan, Texas 77803.

Our deepest condolences to the family, Mr. Valles was always such a sweet man. He used to come to eat at our family restaurant, El Toro and was a very dear friend to my parents and our family. On behalf of the Gongora family we pray for the family to have peace and comfort during this difficult time.
