Dearest Elaine,
I will always remember the wedding at Boothbay that you & Luke rescued me from!! He just immediatly went into "action" mode, wrapped an apron around him & served the people as if he had always done this!! And most obviously he has always in other capacities "served the people" in his brilliant & generous medical career with his keen instinct & devotion for the better interests of people in need.
Love goes to you & your beautiful family at this tender time.

Dear Elaine, Mark, Peter and Paul
When Luke lived at Windsor Green we were good friends and I vividly remember him riding his bike and entertaining his "boys". Those were good days and I will always remember him that way. Elaine, you were lucky to have been able to spend 32 years together and I am sure the happy, wonderful, memories you have will sustain you and the family, as you go through this most difficult time.
Sincerely,
Judy Berman

Dear Elaine and family,
What a great man, what a great loss, Luke will never be replaced. My heart aches and I am saddened for the loss of my dear friend, my wonderful mentor. Working for Luke was not only a position of integrity, but also a lesson in life. Every day promised a journey into the scientific world of forensics as well as a lesson into the humanities. I would look forward to our days in Pathology because Dr. T always treated his staff with respect and...
