Not sure what to say?

Remembering Lyle today. I cant believe its been 8 years since his passing. I was privileged to know him and consider it an honour to have met such a giant of a man yet who was so humble. RIP Lyle - your were a star.

I was privileged to have met Lyle and Sybil when they visited Europe in the mid 1970's. I took up their kind offer to stay at Sutton Creek with them when I first visited the US in 1979. They subsequently stayed at my parents house on a visit to the UK. I remember fondly talking with Lyle about his war service and was impressed by both his bravery and humility. I remember Lyle comong to The Barn to play tennis after walking 18 holes of golf. And that was when he was in his 80's What a guy! Frank Dentel

He was a great Marine and BEAVER. He was a...

The Lake family expresses it great sorrow and sadness today. But we rejoice in the life of Lyle Specht and the wonderful fellow Marine and friend that he has been to our father, P Frank Lake for all these many years. Just know our thoughts and prayers are with you all. I know Dad wishes he could get to Oregon to be with you but it is too long of a journey from Texas. He is with you in spirit for sure!

In God's Grace,
Frank Lake, Cindy, Randy and David Lake

I will miss a long-time friend and golf buddy.
