Two elders, two sorors, two friends! 27 Sep 11

Dr. Mable Parker McLean was a teacher, soror, fellow elder in the Presbyterian Church, USA, fellow alumna, and a friend. This is being written on the Fifth Anniversary year of her passing. I did not make an entry in this document at the time of her passing because I was trying to make sure that her wishes for her "Homegoing Services" were carried out. Dr. McClean was a great leader and example to many.Well done good and faithful servant. It is our turn to carry the Torch. God Bless(pastor Joe Moore)class of 95

Dr. McClean was an inspiration to all who knew her or knew of her. I enjoyed being in her presence. My 4 years at Barber-Scotia were
were enhanced because she was there.

My prayers are with the family, hoping that they will be sustained.

Dr. McLean will not be missed because memories of her will live on in the lives of the thousands she has touched... "See you later Doc"..for those who believe.

Dr. McLean was truly a trooper. She paved the way for many. She was the President of Barber-Scotia when I graduated in 1971. I went to visit her in the spring of 2011 and her last remarks to me will always linger in my heart. She said, "I begin my day with God." Then she continued her conversation. This was priceless. May God bless the family.

Dr. McClean was instrumental in my service as a teacher in Randolph County and Mooresville Graded Schools. She stressed the importance of being professional. Her guidance and instruction led me to serve, with love, in the classroom for 45 years. She will definitely be missed. Her passing is not only a great loss to her family but also to Barber Scotia College.

Dr. McLeans was a gifted inspirational speaker; her speeches mirrored her life's work. Bessie Poole - Wilson, NC
