Mae V. Keller

YORK Mae V. Keller, 91, died Sunday, December 29, 2013, at York Lutheran Retirement Village at Sprenkle Drive. She was the wife of the late Clair E. Keller. Mae was born in Dover Township on March 10, 1922, a daughter of the late Albert and Amanda (Weigel) Wintermyer. She was a graduate of Dover High School. Mrs. Keller retired in 1982 after 25 years as the Senior Payroll Clerk at Caterpillar, Inc. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of York and previously a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church where she was a Sunday school teacher for 50 years and a member of the choir. She also belonged to the Grandview Ladies Golf Club and the AARP Golf League at Briarwood. She was quite proud of the fact that she was the first female member of the York Agriculture Society (York Fair). Mae is survived by a daughter, Carolyn L. Campbell and husband Wayne; two grandchildren, Craig E. Campbell and wife Lisa, Stacy L. Miller and husband Michael; three great-grandchildren, Emily and Gabrielle Campbell and Kylie Miller; and a brother-in-law, Richard Keller all of York. She was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Gavin E. Campbell; and a sister, Ruthanna Arvin. A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, January 3, 2014, at Zion Lutheran Church 2215 Brandywine Lane York with her pastor, Rev. Stanley Combs officiating. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be one hour prior to the service.
