Buck Marsh was a man among men. Small in stature but huge in character. I miss you buddy and I´ll see you soon.

I met Buck at a book signing for `Spearhead´ and subsequently made one of my WWII plaques for him and presented it to he and Wanda in 2012 in their beautiful home. My son and I took him to lunch in 2013 and is a memory my son will always cherish. Your transition from ASTP to common rifleman was sudden but an honor as you had a ringside seat for Clarence Smoyer´s (RIP 9-30-22) feat of tank gunnery at the Cologne Cathedral in March `45. RIP, Buck.

My memory of Buck is from September 2019, when I met him at the Bronze Star ceremony for his buddy Clarence. I was standing with a friend of mine talking about the event, and someone with Buck pointed me toward Buck and said, "You can tie a necktie, right? Help tie Buck´s tie." Not hesitating, I went up to him, and realizing his short stature, I tied his tie from behind him, as my dad would have when I was a youngster. I used to go to Auburn games with my dad and family and sat behind him. He was always fun and alive with energy .I would enjoy talking to him about the game as it was going on and so would my dad and family . He was a trueAuburn Tiger .I am sorry for your loss prayers for family and to those who knew him. God bless you .
