Marion joins me in sending our sincere condolences to Susan and family. Manfred in many ways epitomised maritime arbitration in New York and globally. He was a true professional and a real gentleman. He and I shared platforms as speakers at many conferences and seminars and I greatly enjoyed working with him during my time as Chairman of the ICMA Steering Committee. He will be sorely missed.

Our sincerest condolences to Susan, Heidi, Kirsten, Elisabeth, Owen and Molly. Manfred will be greatly missed. He was a mentor, advisor and true friend. Remembering good times, here is a photo of Susan and Manfred from the Hong Kong ICMA in 1994. The photo was taken on the Congress' ferry ride in the harbor. Austin and Paula Dooley
