I first met Manfred at the International School, Geneva, Switzerland in 1952. Over the next four years, we became very good friends, both studying and playing together. I have wonderful memories of the time we spent together and often reminsce about it, even today. In 1956, we went our separate ways and I lost contact with him for nearly 40 years. Dot, we are so sorry to hear of Manfred's passing.
Our memories are of our younger days. We arrived at LSU in 1964 and you were our neighbors. We are reminded of Manfred's character and his infectious outlook on life. We have such fond memories of dinners, conversations , Matt & Christina as young children and of us walking to LSU football games. You have remained in our hearts after all these years.

My deepest sympathy and condolences to you and your family. The hurt from such a loss is so heavy, but know that eventually it will be replaced by brighter memories of your loved one.

Dear Christina and family:

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your father/husband. Please know that you can always count on me. All of you have lost a father/husband, but you gained his spirit. Nothing can ever replace what you have lost, but rest assure, he will always be with you all.

Christina-My heart goes out to you and your family during this time. You are a strong person and your father will always be with you in spirit.

I only met Manfred one time, but during our meeting I could tell he was a very special and talented man. My deepest sympathy to all the family.
