Manuel Alaman Jr.

Dec 30, 1942 - May 13, 2025

Manuel Alaman Jr. a devoted family man, Vietnam veteran, and dedicated employee of Texas A&M University for over 30 years, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones.

Visitation will be from 5 – 8 pm Friday, May 16, 2025 with a rosary at 6:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. Funeral service will be 11:00 am Saturday at the funeral home.

He was a man of strong character, known for his work ethic, generosity, and deep devotion to his family. He served his country honorably during the Vietnam era, and afterward built a long and meaningful career at Texas A&M University, where he worked for more than three decades. His loyalty and dedication made a lasting impression on all who knew him.

He shared over 30 beautiful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Mary Acosta Alaman. Together, they enjoyed traveling and especially loved their trips to gamble and explore new places as a team.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Maximina Chavez and Manuel Alaman Sr.; his brother Jesse Alaman; his sister Geneva Alaman Ramírez ; step-son Ricky Ruiz and his wife Mary Acosta Alaman.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving children: son Randall Alaman of Bryan, TX; daughters Michelle Alaman Fernández (husband Fernando Fernández)of Nolanville, TX, Lisa Davis (husband Orlando Davis) of Bryan, TX, JoAnn Hernandez (husband Jessie) of Bryan, TX, and Geneva Mendoza of Lott, TX; brothers and sisters, Sam Alaman (wife Lupe) of Marlin TX., John Robert Alaman of The Woodlands, TX., Gloria Rosas (husband Pete) of Waco, TX., Rose Williams of Marlin, TX. and Larry Alaman (wife Suzanne) of The Woodlands, TX; he was a proud grandfather to 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense joy and pride and numerous nieces and nephews.

He will be remembered for his selfless heart, his steady presence, and his unwavering love for his family. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Parc Traditions for their exceptional care, compassion, and support during Manuel's time there. Your kindness brought comfort to him and to our family, and we are deeply appreciative of the dignity and love you provided.

I served Mr. Aleman at Parc at Traditions and was so so sad to hear that he passed. He was always very sweet and I enjoyed speaking to him in Spanish and listening to him talk about his life. He will be missed, my deepest condolences.
