Not sure what to say?

He was an amazing caring doctor.

I am now 41 years old and I was Dr. Marc Ashers patient from when I was 1 year old he and I have the same birthday August 15 when I was 1 we shared birthday cake and I was born with a dislocated hip and seen him many years later. I was really impressed with his extensive knowledge and interest in the orthopedic field and how he has helped the lives of many with his healing. He was a blessing to have had around and an asset for KU medical center to have employed he will be missed Rest in...

I saw Dr. Asher as a teen for my 'severe' scoliosis. I remember that he was pleasant and kind, but it is hard to remember much because I was so scared being there every year or so, for monitoring of my condition. Looking back, I praise God for having him as my doctor because even though I was a candidate for surgery in some ways, he recommended I keep a healthy weight and exercise, keep my core strong, and said we could watch and wait rather than do surgery. This advice also led me to become...

Dr. Asher meant the world to me. He was always so kind. He helped me through 5 surgeries. The last three were completed during my stay at KU from October 31 thru December 1st. I looked forward to seeing him every day when he made his rounds. For years he would call me around Christmas each year to check on me. I remember the last time I seen him was many years after my last surgery. He called and asked if I would do him a favor. I said absolutely anything for you. He wanted me to come...

Dr Asher was my daughter Sharons doctor for 25 years. She had scoliosis which he did major surgery to correct. He was an amazing person compassionate caring and a great doctor. Viola and Sharon Womack

Dr. Asher had such a profound affect on me. I remember seeing him for the first time at the age of 15 and realizing he resembled my Great-grandfather I never knew. That is when I knew God and my Great-grandfather were watching over me through him. My visits and even surgery never meant being sad or upset because mom and I would laugh before, during and after a visit with Dr. Asher. I won't forget the hand held recorder for his dictations and the smile he would give after each one, like...

Huge regret that I did not share with him the meaning he had in my life. As a young girl with scoliosis he treated me by bracing me with Milwaukee brace. Later when I want on to a career in nursing (KU Med Nsg 85)it was only natural that I chose to work on the Orthopedic floor at the University of Kansas- where this man was on staff. I don't feel like I knew him well yet his memory has impacted me tremendously. So intelligent and hard Working. God Bless him - I,for one, benefited from his...
