I waited a lifetime, and you walked in; completely and gently, with the true heart of a Paladin, honored me with your oath to hold me in your arms and love me forever. We both knew we would not have much time, but that didn't matter as it was a season of Joy. Heartfelt sorrow engulfs my wife and me at the sad news of Marcel's passing. He was an exceptional person, endowed with a curiosity and passion for reciprocal and long philosophically based conversations. His wide ranging interest covered current events and in particular the complex comparisons of the U.S. with Europe.
His parties in Galena, Ill. were among the most attractive ones we attended. They were patronized by a fascinating and most accomplished people one could meet.
