Margaret Dean used to consult with Child Protective Services in Dallas, TX. It was my privilege to know her and learn from her. We became friends and I greatly missed her when she moved away. She had a wealth of knowledge and was also a warm and interesting person.

My mother, Mary Jean Berry Eason, was at MC with Margaret Garnder. Recently she thought about a concert that Margaret gave for a music class while she was at MC, and she wondered what had happened to her after Mississippi College. After the obituary was in the Clarion Ledger (Jackson, MS), my mother shared with me how pleased she was to see all of the wonderful accomplishments of Margaret, someone she fondly remembers as extremely talented--a woman loved and admired by everyone.
