She was a saint. I put her through lots of trials as her student. Great strong. Tough woman.

We had many good time in the early 1960 - we were IBM'ers and Margie always had a pot of chili on her stove! Margie was a special person and will be missed.

I'm sorry for your loss. Indeed she loved to tell her students at St. Michael that she was from the "show me state of Missouri" -- I've used it many many times since then and always fondly remember her. We were lucky to have her. God bless.

I am so sorry for your loss. Mrs. Holgate was my 8th Grade teacher at St. Michael (Class of 1979). My favorite saying of hers was "I'm from Missouri - the "show me" state," which she used whenever someone didn't show their work on a test or when someone said they did their homework but didn't have it to turn in.
