Maggie was a constant source of help and information while I served on the Greensboro City Board of Education 1980-93. I was so grateful to support her as she moved on to service for all children from the NC Legislature. What a gift that was to all in NC.

Maggie was an incredible woman. She represented us so well in Raleigh, always a strong advocate for private property rights and education. She was also a great neighbor. Our home suffered severe damage during a storm and she was the first one there when it passed to check and make sure we were ok. I always enjoyed conversations and any chance meeting. My life is richer because she was in it. I am sorry that I wont be able to attend her service but will keep her at heart.

I spent many, many hours in delightful conversations about politics with Maggie. She was always concerned with doing the right thing to help and support the people of North Carolina.

I remember Mrs. Jeffus when I was in one of her classes back in the 1970s. She was a calm, patient and excellent educator. She always had time for her students. When she became involved in politics, I reconnected with her and she remembered me and was always so thankful for the reconnection and always answered her emails, phone calls, etc. She was a super sweet lady. Prayers for her family, friends, and my former classmates that knew her.
