I met 'Rete' in 1950 when she hosted the wedding of my friend, Minnette, and her little brother, Al in the Murdoch home. Barbara & Jane were little tots running around; Beverly played the piano at the ceremony. We lost touch over the years but were reconnected at Gladys' funeral four years ago.
