Maria Alexandre Mendonca Obituary
She was very devoted to her Catholic faith. She served as a waitress at several local casinos.
She was optimistic, selfless and very generous. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister and friend.
She is survived by her son, Luis Mendonca of Moss Bluff; daughter, Armanda Maria Lopez-Montoya (Rey) of Moss Bluff; brother, Antonio Rogerio Gouveia of Hanover, MA; sister, Ana Gomes of Hanover MA, Aida F. Paim of Plymouth, MA and twin, Maria Da Luz Topete of Lake Charles; one grandchild, Sarah Alexandra Jones and one on the way.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Antonio Gouveia and Valentina Homem.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 18, 2018, 4:00pm until 8:00pm with a rosary at 6:00pm and resume Sunday at 1:00pm until time of service at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Funeral Service will begin at 2:00pm. Father Aubrey Guilbeau will officiate. Burial will follow at Prien Memorial Park Cemetery. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com
