Maria Blonski

Formerly of Washingtonville, N.Y.

Maria Blonski, a homemaker and resident of Wurtsboro, formerly of Washingtonville, entered into rest on February 18, 2006 at Orange Regional Medical Center. She was 89.

The daughter of Roman and Melissa Chowszcz, she was born March 17, 1916 in Poland.

A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Maria was a member of the Rosary Society of St. Nicholas Church in Passaic, N.J.

She was the widow of Dyonizy Blonski.

She is survived by two sons, Walter Blonski and his wife, Arlene, of Sayerville, N.J. and John Blonski of Hopatcong, N.J.; two daughters, Anna Pimpiano and her husband, John, of Washingtonville and Luba Etzler and her husband, Lyman, of Wurtsboro; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2006 from 6-9 p.m. at the David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, 20 North Street, Washingtonville, N.Y.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 23 at 10 a.m. at St. Andrew's Ukrainian Church, Campbell Hall, N.Y. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, South Hackensack, N.J.
