On our shared birthday of August 18, I am, once again, thinking of the wonderful times Marianne and I shared over the years. I am so blessed to have been her friend.

As our mutual birthday of August 18th once again approaches, I think of Marianne with warm and loving memories. Always in my heart.

This time of year brings memories of friends past, and first to mind for me this year is Marianne, my college roommate and friend from many years ago. Rick, you were so kind to share information and to send that heartfelt 50th anniversary card that Marianne had set aside for us. I felt particularly sad that we never connected in person during those years--even though I knew it would feel like yesterday if I saw Marianne. Marianne and I shared the same birthday, so this past August 18th, I thought deeply about the wonderful events and get togethers we enjoyed and how important her friendship was to me. Marianne was my college roommate for a couple years. She was kind, patient, loyal, and loving. She made the effort to be a bridesmaid at my wedding and subsequently sent me and Tim an anniversary card every single year--without exception.
