Marie Elsie Bunch

As my Godmother, I always remember "Aunt Marie's" graciousness and fun humours. She always talked of the fond memories she had with my mother, Dorothy Haldeman, and the adventures they had. I will miss her dearly.

Mrs. Bunch's ever present smile is what I will always remember about her. No one smiled like her. She was always attentive to her guests at the July crab feasts on Kitridge Drive and Deale, Md. Her daughter, Karen, and I would venture out on Friday to "play miniature golf" (um...cruise the roads as teenagers), and she would just smile as we were heading out the door knowing there was no golf in our plans. Marie lived a long and full life. She was always so perky and positive. I don't recall ever seeing her when she was feeling down. Long ago, when I was attending Bethany Lutheran Church regularly, it seemed like Marie was always helping out in the church somehow, doing something, somewhere. The whole time I have been involved in the ministry of Bible translation, Marie has always been interested in hearing our news. Although I did not know Marie, I know Barb as a dear friend. Marie was clearly an amazing human with a big heart and a beautiful way of multiplying her gifts in endless ways. All those who she touched are blessed beyond measure.
