Marie Slagle

On the anniversary of Marie's death I find more memories of growing up with her in Gresham. I remember her parents kind hearts, her father planting a large garden in the sprin, his making his own brand of root beer and seems he won a new car in a contest in the 1930's. There are memories of high school years, proms and parties and each going our own way, to meet only once or twice thereafter. Her obituary says she had a full loving life receiving love from all.

Although many years have gone by since last seeing Marie but I have fond memories of growing up with Marie in Gresham, she was a terrific ball player and participated in all the games we played as children. Each night as darkness fell mom Hanna would yell from their front porch "Johanna, Marie and Roseileeeeee, come home
