Not sure what to say?

As I pass my retirement here on the lake in northeastern Indiana, Jay will sometimes pop into my mind and I remember her with love and affection. She was such a great assistant, colleague, and friend at the law school. So much of our lives was spent working together that I still find it hard to believe she has passed on. Thank you, Jay, for your friendship and all your faithful work. Love and hugs to you and your family. Jim Bailey, Emeritus Professor of Law and Director of the Law Library.

To many she was mom, mama, Aunt Jay, Granny and Jay. To me she was simply "Merlie." Not a nickname but a sweet name that only I called her because sweet she certainly was. A wonderful sister and my very best friend. Life without her will be difficult for me and many others. I love her immensely but GOD loved her more and took her home to rest in peace. A lifetime of memories to hold dear to my heart and the wonderful second mom to my children, who adored her. Until we meet again, know that...

Marian and family, you have my heart felt condolences. May Gods peace be with each of you....

Mort and Marian, so sorry to hear about Marilyn. May the peace of God cover you and His comfort and strength be with you and your family in the days to come.

To Maurice Miller and family. I just learned about Marilyn's passing. You and the family have my deepest sympathy. May God grant you peace. Lifting you all in prayer.
Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints. Psalms 116:15

I shall miss the emails I received from Marilyn regarding the East Side Reunions. We shared a lot thru the years. RIP Marilyn.

Marion so sorry about the loss of your sister. May God bless you all at this time. And continue to bless your family.

Nate and Family,

Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. However, please take solace in the vast number of lives that Jay touched. It was very common to have former students, faculty, and administrators stop by the law library and they could not leave without seeing Jay. I know she was a powerful influence in my life. Most importantly was her commitment to you and your family. She truly delighted in telling stories about her life and sharing all of...

Maurice and family,
I was shocked to learn of Marilyn's passing.

Marilyn was a kind and thoughtful woman.
