Dearest Jose,Dora,Jr,Hector,Pablo:

Our family is deeply saddened by
the tragic loss of Marina.
Our Hearts go out to all of you.

I went by your shop to say hi to you
and I thought I saw you pass me in the
flat bed truck. So I asked Jr if I just missed you(03/03/09). Jr said no couldn't have been because you were in Mexico, and he said I have bad news to tell you.

He told me what had happened I couldn't believe it and I cried all the way to Antioch

When I got to my parents house I called my wife and kids they could not believe it either.

We are here for all of you so if we can do anything please call.

I will call you next week

Marina was a blessing to all she met. I notice she was very gifted and seemed to act far above her age. At my daughter Erica's and her Husband Saul's Wedding, and at the Pear Festival.

Marina was a wonderful person. We offer you are greatest condolences.

We Love you guys,

Ed and Joanna Jen Erica and grandkids(4)

Dear Arredondo Family,

I met your daughter/sister during the summer 2008 at your niece's/cousin's quince anos party. I was the photographer at the party. My fondess memory of Marina is the joy she expressed that night.

The last time I saw her was a couple of weeks ago at In and Out, she was friendly and greeted us (Marshall and me) with a big smile.

I am so sorry for your loss and pray that you will remember and cherish the happy times you spend with her and find comfort in them. Once again I am so sorry for your loss.

God Bless

The Arredondo Family:

My son went to school with your daughter/sister and became very good friends with her (they graduated in June together). I am very saddened to hear about your loss. My son tearfully speaks about Marina in the kindest ways and I can see through his tears that she was special to him. He said she was one of his good friends, and she was a sweet, kind person. We are both very sorry and sad and will continue to keep you all in our prayers.

Dora, we are so sorry that your precious little girl is no longer here on earth with you. While nothing can ever take the pain that you feel away, try and find some comfort knowing Marina's not alone, but in a wonderful place with God and loved ones who've already passed, saving a spot in heaven for when it's time for the rest of us to join her. For now, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family to help you cope with this most difficult situation. Our love will be with you always.

Dear Hector & family--
I am so sorry for the loss of your beautiful sister and daughter. You have been in my thoughts and prayers...
Here are a few words from a book I recently read:

"Don't ever discount the wonder of your tears. They can be healing waters and a stream of joy. Sometimes tears are the best words a heart can speak."

May God comfort you with the peace that passes all understanding.

God bless you always...

Dearest Jose, Dora, Jose Jr., Hector, and Pablo,

My heart feels such sorrow for all of you. I will remember Marina for always being so happy and will remember those smiling eyes.

Just a few weeks ago when I was in Courtland visiting Mom I saw Marina out walking the dog. I think back a few year's and can see her as a little girl, playing on Harkness Avenue trying to keep up with her older brothers (she did it pretty well too!) I believe she had them wrapped around her finger. Marina grew into a lovely young woman with a beautiful soul. She will remain forever young, forever innocent.

May God bless all of you and bring you peace and comfort today and in the day's to come.

With sincere condolences,

Debby

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Marina, You are a life lost much too soon. I will forever remember your sweet face knocking on our door when we lived around the corner from you. No matter what my mood, you always made me smile. Even years later, to get an email from you, or to run into you - that smile and your hugs always made my smile just a little bit bigger. You will always live in our hearts and prayers. Your family will remain in our thoughts and prayers.

We at the Courtland Fire Department and you community share your families loss and empathize with your grief. Please know that we are praying for your and trust the follow message to your hearts and ours found in Psalms 23: 1 The Lord is my shepherd;

I shall not want. 2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. 3 He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever.

Signed, Chaplain Bob Berger and the Fire Department and your community.
