I only knew Mario from when he would pick up Terry at her work. It was not uncommon for Mario to be 30 minutes early, patiently waiting in his black Tundra for Terry to appear from the building. Very pleasant man to talk to, a genuinely kind hearted individual Mario was. He would let me know when the striped bass were running in the Delta, and then one time he whipped one out of his ice chest and showed it to me. He will surly be missed by many.

Mario: it was only Friday night when we last spoke in person. Missing you will be difficult. You have always been the "consummate" neighbor, helping, listening, loaning tools, advice, and watching the house when we were away. You enjoyed watching my family grow, as I yours.
Your family will be in our hearts & prayers. Until later, kaibigan...

Mario, it was a pleasure serving you,
your smile brightened our day when you entered our shop and the and the firm hand shake you always left will be missed. The last words you said to me will always echo in my heart "See you later Jerry, when I get back from hunting."
It was an honor knowing you, dear friend.
