Mark and I started the Corp of Engineers at the same time and became best buds at work. John and I were in Europe at the same time and Mark hosted us in Naples with our 4 year old daughter. He knew everyone! No matter where we were..leather shop, shoe store, cafe house, bakery, and people walking down the street. And they knew him lovingly! Arms outstretched, giant hugs.
