Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home - Evendale/Blue Ash Obituary

Mark B. Coad, age 64, passed away suddenly on Thursday, April 22, 2021. He was born April 1, 1957 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Robert B. and Evelyn (nee Sorter) Coad. Mark graduated from Moeller High School in 1975 and has maintained close relationships with his childhood friends. He attained a master’s degree from the University of Cincinnati and retired from General Electric after 33 years, most recently, as Union Relations Manager in Human Resources.

Mark is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Debbie (nee Alt) Coad, whom he met in their college Spanish class at U.C.; son, BJ (Ashley) Coad; daughter, Sarah Coad; and his mother, Evelyn Coad. He was overjoyed to be “Pop” to his grandchildren, Cecilia and James Coad; brother of Robert (Kathy) Coad, Dee (Will) Heinrich, and Andrea York.

Mark’s family brought him the most joy and pride throughout his life. From the time his kids were small, he was always supporting and encouraging their success. He would often coach sports and other activities. Mark and Debbie traveled locally, nationally, and abroad as the biggest cheerleaders for their family.

Visitation will be 2-5 PM, Sunday, May 2, 2021 at Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home, 10211 Plainfield Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45241. Not sure what to say?

Deb, Prayers for you & family! Deepest sympathies! Donna (Alt) Bryhn

Mark was a classmate of mine at Moeller (class of 1975). What a great loss for all of us especially his wonderful family. I will always remember Mark's great personality. He was always smiling. I never witnessed him being angry. He had a golden sense of humor that could always lighten up any difficult time. Rest in peace Mark. You will never be forgotten.

Saddened to hear of the loss of a High School Classmate. Fondly recall his warm greeting at last reunion. Thoughts and Prayers to Mark's family.

Deb, BJ, Ashley (Cecilia, James) and Sarah,
I am so saddened by your loss. It doesn't feel right not being there. Please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers.
I will never forget Mark and Deb's wedding. Too much fun!

Mark was one of my friends in HR at GE, that I truly enjoyed working with. Whenever he asked for my assistance, I was always glad to help him in any way that I could. He also made that work a bit of fun, with his humor and laughter. My sincere condolences and prayers to his family.

Someone was once asked, "What happens when you die ?"
The reply was, "I don't know what will happen after you die, but I do know that those that loved you will miss you..."
Mark will be missed by many !!
Rest in peace my brother...

Mark and I have been friends since grade school through attendance at graduate school together. Deb and the kids/grandkids and the rest of his family along with a large group of friends and coworkers lost a great guy. He will be remembered for that easy smile and laugh, his enjoyment of a cold one every now and then, his love for his ponds, fountains and fish but most of all his dedication to his family which he dearly loved and kept us up to date on.
