Not sure what to say?

Jill and family:
My mom called me and told me the sad news about Mark. It hit me hard. My childhood friend, Jill..you and I shared our Beatle dolls in 6th grade and sang "Lemon Tree" while rubbinig each others' arms!..remember that? :)
I just want to say I am so happy that you and Mark had the kind of marriage most of us dream of, with wonderful children to boot. I pray God will watch over you all and bring you comfort in the strength of knowing Mark is in good hands, and only a...

I just got back from your service, Mark, and it was quite wonderful! I laughed and cried. I never had the privilege to meet your kids but after hearing them talk about you I can tell you and Jill have done a great job raising them. It was a pleasure sharing in a tiny part of your life. You will be missed but I'll catch ya again soon enough.

It's almost impossible to type while crying. It's also hard to sound compassionate, kind and supportive when your mind is spinning and your hands are shaking. But ultimately words cannot express my feelings. Someday, when I will be able to make some sense, organize my thoughts, and sound barely intellectual I will pick up the phone and call you. Until then I will hide behind this napkin on my desk.

Dear Jill and Family, I wanted to express my condolences to you. I went to visit Mark yesterday at work, when Hans told me the news. I am so saddened that such a beautiful man is not still here to spread his kindness. The world has so few like him. Must be why the rays of the sun are shining so bright now!

To Laurel B. Fey and Family:

May "GOD" continue to strengthen you and the family during this time of sorrow. I will keep the family in prayer.

God Bless!

Hi Jill (and family),
Sorry to hear about Mark...may he rest in peace.
He was always fun to be around. I love seeing the videos of him and the kids singing in the backyard. I am still enjoying the major addition he designed for my house years ago.
We'll all miss him but I am sure he has left a huge hole in all of your hearts.

Dear Jill,
I have often thought and prayed for you and Mark over these many years. It was obvious how God brought you both together in High school. The impact you both have had upon the world is great.May you give yourself grace to do and be what only you can at this time and to grieve as well. May you walk with the blanket of comfort and strength around you for God knows your sorrow. My prayers go with you.Tricia Hawley McDermott

Jill and family,

I am so sad to hear that Mark is no longer with us. Mark was always my idol growing up and the memorable times spent with him and the Fey/Hammerberg families are forever etched in my mind. I'll always remember the Wells Drive “Halloween Parade” organized and led by Mark as he strolled up and down the street with 15 or so kids in full costume following his every move. I'll also remember the fateful yellow station wagon ride with Jill, Martin and me as passengers...

Dear Jill
My sincere sympathy to you
and your family. Mark always had a smile on his face and puppies close behind when he visited Town Hall. He will be missed. I am so sorry.
