I had the honor of having Mark Horvath as one of my closest friends for almost 47 years. We met weekly for many years to exchange Andrean/Lake Central stories. I (along with his family) was touched by how many former students came to the showing and the funeral. I'm glad to see testimonials from Gavit, Immaculate Concepcion, and Andrean. He TRULY loved teaching and his students. He was "Rain Man", because he remembered his students so well.He confided several times that he wanted to meet...

Mr. Horvath will be missed by many and I'm sorry the future generation of kids will not be able to have the extreme pleasure of being in his classes. He was one of my favorite teachers ever!

I really enjoyed having Mr. Horvath for Govt/Econ at Andrean, he was a great teacher. He always joked around with me in study hall about liking country music and I still have a CD he made me. My deepest condolences to his family, my thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Our heartfelt condolences to the Horvath family. We are so sorry for your loss. Our son Andrew was priveleged to have Mr. Horvath as a teacher and friend. He inspired our son's interest in government, politics and law. Most importantly, he taught what it meant to be a man of good moral character. Thank you, Mr. Horvath. "Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!"...
