Not sure what to say?

I knew Mark only briefly, since he started volunteering at The Bridge, the non-profit agency where I work. He was dedicated, worked hard, and was always pleasant. I'm very sorry for your loss.

I had the privilege of coaching Mark at MU his freshman year of college. He had so much talent as a wrestler, as well as being very tough and hard-nosed (my kind of wrestler). Whenever I ran into Mark it was always a joy to see him. He loved to brag on his sons as well as his wife. He loved them all a great deal as well as his father and brother. I will miss seeing Mark at who knows where, because you never knew where he may show up. God Bless you, Mark Poelker.

I am so truly sorry to hear of this loss. I'll never forget the many happy times my family spent with Mark's family as long-time neighbors. My deepest sympathies go out to you, Joe, Joe Jr, Gloria & Peggy and to your families. Mark was always one of my favorite people. He will truly be missed.

I am sorry to hear of Mark's passing. He was a great competitor and a nice guy. I had not seen him in a long time until a few years ago at the State tourney. It was always good seeing him. I am sorry for your family's loss.

Mark:

I played you in street hockey and you snapped my stick.
Then I tried roundball where you set one nasty pick.
I chose not to test you on your sweat stained mat,
As that was your temple where bugs tend to go splat.
But I evened the score in calc and physics class,
Where your aim was high, not just simply to pass.
I appreciated the width and the depth of your mind.
You were generous of spirit and your heart was kind.
It was an honor and a...

My heart and prayers go out to the Poelker family. Mark made a huge impression on me. He and I remained friends throughout the years even tho I live in Florida. I'll never forget getting fixed up on a date with him, going to one of our home games of the football season and he torn ligaments in his knee. He ended up in the emeregrncy room and I was bummed cause our date got messed up. Later that night he made his brother drop him off to my house. I answered the door and he says "Didn't we have...

I was truly sorry to hear about Mark. Mark and I wrestled together at MU. When I would run into him at the state tournament I would always tease him about the time he had to wrestle Al Nacin from Iowa State. Mark was a true freshman and Al was a Senior and went on that year to win the NCAA's and go undefeated. He'd always laugh. Mark had a wonderful smile, and you always felt good after talking to Mark for just a few minutes. He will truly be missed. My prayers will be with his family.

I can't believe tht he passed away. I never forgot about him when were growing up together as neighbors. He's soooo wonderful guy! I'm really sorry tht u lost ur beloved brother, father n grandfather. My prayers r with u all n Mark. Huggies

My Hearfelt, condolences go out to the entire Poelker family. I only meet Mark once. But he left an impression that I will always remember.
