Mark always treated me like a son. Here he is with his 3 "sons"...that's what my 2 best friends and I were to him. I'm the one popping my head up behind Mark, with the big grin. This was just a small part of our circle of friends.
The reality is that we were family. We spent so much time together. Mark always looked after us and there was always a seat at the Sykes dinner (and/or breakfast/lunch table).
Mark loved his family, especially his kids, and he loved his friends. I think about him often.
I can't believe it's 8 years already.
Love and miss you always "Dad".

Wow, just heard the sad news. Mark was a friend, colorful guy..... was actually a very good street hockey goalie on our team. I want to express my prayers to his family.

Mark was a guy who grew up in Northwest Baltimore when I did. Everybody in the area knew each other so I knew Mark. I remember Mark as a nice guy, always with a smile on his face. He was, like me, a hard core Orioles fan. My heart goes out to his many Baltimore friends.
