Marlene Jack

So sad to learn of Marlene's passing, but I share in honoring her. Marlene came to Wm and Mary in '74 when I was in my last two years as an undergrad art major, just in time to take several classes with her. When I am asked what teacher most affected my own teaching it is always you I name. Discovering your passing today makes me so very sad. You deserved longer on this earth.

I am sad to lose a generous and kind ceramic friend, and I have fond memories of our trip to the Cinque Terra when we were both teaching in Italy, long ago. Berry Matthews
