On August 29, 2018, the world lost some of its beauty and a lot of its gentleness. Marlene Miller, my beloved sister and my greatest fan, passed from this life on that day. She was born in Bethlehem to the late John and Helen Shivek. She graduated from Liberty High School and had an accomplished...

Not sure what to say?

Marlene was a dear, dear friend. She always had a kind word for everyone and made everyone around her feel special. Marlene had such class and she made anywhere she was a more beautiful place. She was taken from this life far too soon and will be missed terribly by all who knew her. God has surely created a very special place in Heaven for her beautiful soul.

On behalf of LHS, Class of 1961, our condolences are extended to the family and friends of our classmate, Marlene Shivek Miller.

I was so sorry to see that Marlene has passed. I worked with Marlene at Bethlehem Steel and I enjoyed her zest for life. She was always laughing and smiling, she certainly always made me feel uplifted. My thoughts of Marlene are always pleasant ones, she just had a way to make everyone feel special. She will be truly missed. My deepest sympathies to her family.

My prayers and sympathy go out to Marlene's family. Marlene graduated from high school with me and we reconnected at Bethlehem Steel. It was always great to see her at our monthly retiree breakfast. She was a beautiful woman inside and out and will be missed by many. REST IN PEACE

My Deepest Sympathy to Marlene's family. I have been friends with and loved Marlene for 40 plus years. We laughed and cried together, we shopped and returned items together. We supported each other always. She will always be my best friend. I will see her again!

Marlene was my cousin, whom I've not had contact with for many, many years. She was a beautiful woman -- great photo choice, Ilene! -- and, evidently, lovely in her heart as well.

Marlene came to our Bethlehem Steel Billing breakfasts. She would take home the uneaten bread and pancakes to feed to the squirrels and birds. I just got an email from her on August 25 thanking us for remembering her birthday. We will all miss her. She was a sweet lady.

Marlene was a great friend in my life and we lost touch for a long time. I
Will always think of her fondly as will my daughters, Kristie and Jessica. She was a lovely lady.
