Marlene was a very special lady in my life for the past 30 plus years. I had the honor of working with her at Theda Clark as a new nursing assistant and subsequently a RN. She was always a positive influence on us “kids” working with her and taught us more than she could ever realize. My family is blessed to have known her and been able to maintain a relationship with her after her retirement. It always brightened our day when we saw her at the theater.
Godspeed Marlene “Mother...

I just saw the wonderful tribute to Marlene on the news tonight. I have not been to the movies for a year, but I was always happy to see Marlene sitting in her chair to collect my ticket. She always wonderful to talk to. She would always comment about the movie you were seeing or if you asked he what she saw she would tell you. She was a wonderful person in the times I went to the movies. Sending you thought and prayers. She will be greatly missed at the movies.

Marlene was a long time friend and co-worker of my mother,Van. She, Chag and mom would meet for breakfast once a month, when they could still drive. I always enjoyed seeing here when I went to the movies. Rest In Peace, Marlene

We will always remember Marlene fondly from the movie theater and the local theater she attended in the Fox Valley area. She was always a joy to see with her kind smile and wave. We always appreciated her “spot on” movie reviews. Marlene wiI be greatly missed by so many who knew her! We send our heartfelt sympathy to her family at this difficult time.

Marlene was such a treasure. I worked with her at Hollywood Cinema and always referred to her as my adoptive grandma. She always had a way to make me laugh and was such a kind, caring, amazing woman. I will always cherish the memories I have with her and all of the life lessons she taught me. Rest In Peace, Marlene!
