Martha Howerton Poss

I know I am just finding out a little late, but I was thinking of childhood memories this morning and Mrs. Poss crossed my mind, like she often does. So, I decided to Google her. I was one of her 2nd grade students at Greenwood, and she almost instantly became my favorite teacher of all time the first day of school that I met her. Martha's kindness and compassion would light up a room. It was always such a pleasure to visit with her. Her words will always be treasured.

Martha was absolutely one of the finest women I ever knew, ever since the 1960's in Big Spring, and all the men in her family are top notch.

Coach Poss and family, I am sorry for your loss. Mrs. Poss was always kind and funny when I would see her at Greenwood, and it was a pleasure to get to know her after knowing Coach Poss for so long. May God bless you all.
