I know I am just finding out a little late, but I was thinking of childhood memories this morning and Mrs. Poss crossed my mind, like she often does. So, I decided to Google her. I was one of her 2nd grade students at Greenwood, and she almost instantly became my favorite teacher of all time the first day of school that I met her. She was a lady of such beauty and Grace....and she always smelled so lovely with her rose scented hand lotion that she would use in class religiously. The compassion and caring that she showed us all on the day that we found out in class about teacher Christine McCullough dying on the space shuttle Challenger was first class...and that's just who she was, always classy and always loving. My condolences to the family for losing one of the truly great ladies left in this world!

Martha was absolutely one of the finest women I ever knew, ever since the 1960's in Big Spring, and all the men in her family are top notch.

Coach Poss and family, I am sorry for your loss. Mrs. Poss was always kind and funny when I would see her at Greenwood, and it was a pleasure to get to know her after knowing Coach Poss for so long. May God bless you all.

I'm one of those sportswriters who was courtside as you officiated games across West Texas. I appreciate the friendship we were able to develop and am so very sorry for your loss.
